TODAY’S SELECTIONS

No betting for me today. A drive up to Chorley to collect a Rescue Dog. Tomorrow is in doubt as I have to get another dog to the same place for a C.T. scan & also the same on Saturday! Who said retirement is a nice, quiet, peaceful life?

It would be great to see you post your choices/results and I will be back on Friday.

Good luck guys.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

14.00 – Exeter – Gustavian. Due to the large field & hurdles, I chose a Split. It only went & won!

16.00 – Exeter – Prime Venture. 3 runners. I chose a Win. Odds on favourite & got beaten by a 3/1 shot.

17.45 – Newcastle – Majestic Sands. I went for a win. Ended up beaten into 4th place. Challenged the lead but weakened with only 100 yards to run. A bit poor seeing as it was only a 5 furlong sprint.

OBAD – Lost. I went for a Win.

TRIPLER – How many times do I have to kick myself? Race 1 was a SPLIT & I ended up with a profit. I should have stopped there & then but with only 3 runners in the next race & ours was the favourite, I went for a Win. I lost. That meant I had to go for a Win on Race 3. Lost again. Why oh why do I not listen to my own rules??? A hefty loss on Tripler when I could have stopped with a satisfactory profit.

RATCHET – Again, a profit after Race 1 but I went again on Race 3. (No place market on Race 2.) It came 4th so blew my Ratchet out.

From now on, I WILL stick to my own rules.
