20th June 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is coming along nicely and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under my target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

Come on Wales, you can do an Italian Job this afternoon.

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Basil Brush Fox. 14.45. Hexham. Ash Hill.

Basil, who won’t race unless his favourite Trainer, Mister Derek, has his hand on his jacksy, combines both names and nowadays races under the pseudonym of Derek Fox. Our Baz is normally a mighty performer and always screams “Boom Boom” at the top of his voices as he saunters past the opposition. Today, Baz will Boom Boom all the way to the finishing line in first place. Because he is such a stylish dude, he still races in a tweed waistcoat.

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS

TRIPLER

14.45 – Hexham – Ash Hill. (81) – This MAY be too soon for him to win. He’s a good horse, but for today, I’m going for a SPLIT.

16.35 – Worcester – Yauthym. (102) – A winner last month and I expect him to match that today. WIN.

17.15 – Hexham – Dear Alix. (77) – Came 3rd recently and showed that there is a great deal of improvement in him. I will be going for a WIN.

OBAD

16.35 – Worcester – Yauthym. (102) – See Above.

RATCHET –  Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE –

– All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets and the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.

Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.

If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)

There are only three meetings today and there are NO bets that meet my criteria. I don’t bet just for the sake of it. I know we lost yesterday and there’s nothing I like better than to see my spreadsheet recording daily profits. However, if you DO want to bet, may I suggest you have a look at the Tripler selections and see if any of them take your fancy.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Brian Moore. 14.30 AND 16.20. Ascot. Point Lonsdale and Dream Of Dreams.

One of our best mates is Brian. He swapped the microphone and cameras to take up pony trekking in the Norfolk mountains. One thing led to another and now Brian competes with the much younger whippersnappers on fully grown horses. Brian’s the guy to show the others a clean pair of hooves. His footy days came to an end after watching yet another insipid performance by the England soccer team. It almost forced our Brian to a lethal cocktail of hot tea and Maltesers. Pony trekking in the East Anglian mountains helped salvage his career. Ride ’em, Brian.

RESULT – What a guy! Good old Brian romped home in first place in both the selected races. TWO first places! You’re the man Brian.

A superb day for the 3 Blue Ribbon systems Three first places ensured lovely wins on Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet.

Doc’s Fav Goldmine had a bit of a stinker yesterday. A first race winner followed by a Race 2 loser. Then a Race 3 winner and lastly, another loser. It was my first losing day for quite a while, but, as Gav says, it’s a business and a system. Occasionally, we will have losing days, but overall, we should be handsome winners. I just can’t understand why such good horses are allowed to run miserably. There is one thing, however, that I have learned from yesterday: I am now seriously thinking of stopping after a winning bet if I win on Race 1. It may be below target but it prevents any losses. Usually, I can get odds of around 1.25 or higher, which is fine as those odds will hit my daily target. If I win with lower odds, it’s still a win.
