My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Tripler’s Race 1 came in as I expected, but Big Dick Johnson lived up to his name – a Big Dick! The horse pulled up & blew the day’s racing for us. Race 3’s winner was more like it. OBAD suffered with Big Dick’s efforts and Ratchet had a successful Race 1, Race 2 loss and a Race 3 win. My Fav Goldmine was totally cocked up by Big Dick’s poor attempt. Not good enough Dick.

13.38 – Fontwell – Beauport (72) – Won on its second hurdling outing but receives a penalty. Quite a large field & I’ve never heard of this jockey. For these reasons, I’m opting for a SPLIT. RESULT – 3rd.
14.30 – Sandown – Little River Bay (82) – We’ve not had a runner with our old mate, Big Dick Johnson for a while. Good history & good jockey. Only 8 runners. WIN. RESULT – Pulled Up.
18.30 – Chelmsford – Shimmering Dawn (69) – Shortish, 7 furlong race & this selection has a good record over 6 furlongs. I’m hoping the extra 220 yards won’t be a problem. WIN. RESULT – 1st.
