16th June 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is coming along nicely and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under my target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

Wales’ turn again today. Come on boyos; breathe some fire into today’s game and don’t simply cough a little smoke!

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Sir Michael Fallon. KCB. 17.50. Chelmsford. Sanitiser.

Former Secretary of State for Defence, Big Sir Mike has taken his hobby of riding the donkeys on Blackpool beach a stage further. He now competes in serious horse racing. Mike conjoured up all his experience to land this race and will make his racing debut a winning one. Go for it, Sir Mike.

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS

TRIPLER

14.50 – Uttoxeter – High Change. (69) – Had a really good start to his career, but last time out, disappointed massively. This race, however, is a step down in class, so should provide him with a chance to redeem himself. WIN.

15.40 – Ascot – Lady Bowthorpe. (79) – The favourite, but not massively tipped in the ratings. Has run well recently and already beaten 2 of today’s opponents. This is a classy meeting and some classy horses. I’m hedging my money and for this one, I’m going for a SPLIT.

17.50 – Chelmsford – Sanitiser. (69) – Had a terrific run last month and if he comes anything close to that performance, it will be another WIN.

OBAD

15.40 – Ascot – Lady Bowthorpe. (79) – See Above.

RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets and the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.

Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.

If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)

16.00 – Uttoxeter – Brief Ambition. (1.37 – 8 – 3)

16.55 – Hamilton – Out Of Breath. (1.59 – 7 – 2)

17.50 – Chelmsford – Sanitiser. (1.22 – 8 – 3)

Just In Case-ers:

14.05 – Hamilton – Ninky Nonk. (1.53 – 7 – 2)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Ryan O’Neal. 16.30. Thirsk. Asjad.

Ryan, now 80 years young but riding like a 25-year-old, is our pick for today. He’s onboard Asjad in the 16.30 at Thirsk. As seen pictured above with a 10-month-old Frankie Dettori growing out of his neck, Frankie was surgically removed at the age of 10 and forged a somewhat successful racing career himself. Our Ryan is set to defy the Peyton Place market and go all the way and win. (Something he brags about with ex-partner, Farrah Fawcett.) Ryan has a fun sense of humour and often refers to Ms. Fawcett as “Tap”. That always makes our Ryan chuckle. It’s Ryan all the way. Come on sunshine, you can and will do it.

RESULT – Ryan bottled it. He thought Thirsk was in Cornwall and was last seen stuffing his saddlebags with pasties. You’re a thicko, Ryan!

———————————————————————

A really good day for the 3 Blue Ribbon systems. We had 1st and 3rd places (as predicted) on Tripler. Nice win on OBAD and 1st and 3rd place on Ratchet.

Doc’s Fav Goldmine was a horror show! All Clenched up ran as its’ name suggests – all clenched up. A totally abysmal performance from the trainer and jockey, allowing it to be beaten by horses at 10/3, 40/1, and 11/2. Wretched. Because of the Race 1 loss, it became a day of catch-up. Races 2 and 3 both came in and my 4th selection was withdrawn. A small loss on the day – my first loss for ages! Some good news – when I took a quick look at the results for the last race, I didn’t see ours in the Top 3, so I presumed it had lost. It was only when I did my report that I discovered the horse was withdrawn, so I ended up with a smaller loss than I anticipated. Still, stick to the system and all will be well.
