QUICK PUNT – I do this for a bit of fun. Same principle as Ratchet but with half the stake and half the target. (Unless the odds are so low, then I will look at a straight Win or even a 2 TBP.)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
There’s always one totally useless performance in a day and today’s Title Winner was …. Sweet Joanna. A total carthorse of a run, beaten into 5th by a 66/1 rank outsider. Fortunately, Leafhopper won, so it was Job Done on Tripler and OBAD. As I had lost recently, the stakes had increased somewhat, giving me a really nice return. I had to dash out at 3.30 so missed putting bets on the remaining selections. So, overall a nice profit but let down by the donkey in Race 2.
TRIPLER
15.30 – Catterick – Leafhopper. Not run for a while, but excellent credentials. WIN. RESULT – 1st. Job Done. End of my Tripler betting.
16.35 – Kempton – Sweet Joanna. Not totally confident is this. I will probably look at a split, going for 2 TBP. SPLIT. RESULT – 5th. Miserable show.
17.40 – Kempton – Johnny Reb. One of a handful of possibles. A definite SPLIT. RESULT – 2nd. (Beaten by an 18/1 shot.)
OBAD
15.30 – Catterick – Leafhopper. See above.
RATCHET – Race 1 – 1st. Race 2 – still running. Didn’t have chance to bet on Race 3, which would have won.

15.40 – Newbury- Baradar. RESULT – 4th. Rubbish performance.
